Automated Backup or Script Execution

Database backup is essential in order to recover from most disasters. However, a backup will also help protect you against database upgrades that go bad, table corruption, and other system problems. Automated Backup or Script Execution tool helps you to backup your database or run SQL script according to scheduler to save your time and protect your database from failure.

Automated Backup

Use this settings toolbar to perform following operations:

- Click “Create or Modify Import Configuration” button to run Backup Wizard and configure settings.

- run backup with current configuration.

- add backup to scheduler with current configuration. In order to add scheduled task you should have administrative privileges. If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7 it may ask you for elevation:

Click on "Add Current Backup to Scheduler" button to specify task name, time and frequency.

You can choose to backup database Daily, Weekly, Monthly or once.

Daily - If you wish to backup your database daily, specify start time and frequency.

Weekly - If you wish to backup your database weekly, specify the time, the day of a week and frequency.

Monthly - If you wish to backup your database monthly, check/uncheck month (s) when you wish to import products, day and start time.

Once - You can backup your database only once when it's more comfortable for you.

- show scheduled tasks list. Scheduled task list is a list of tasks stored in your Windows scheduler. You can call it using Addons -> Show Scheduled Tasks.

Here you can find your task to backup your database along with other windows tasks performed regularly.

Here you can add or delete task, see properties, refresh list and run task.

- refresh data.

- restore over current database.

- delete selected backup.

- click here to preview backup data.

- open the folder, where this file is located.

- using these buttons you can adjust columns width or set columns auto width.

Script Execution

In case you need to run SQL scripts frequently, Automated Script Execution tool will be great solution for you!

NOTE!: Do not run Script, in case you are not sure that SQL is working properly and will not corrupt your database.

In this section you can find Automated Script Execution settings, which allows you to perform following operations:
